Tennessee Is So Pro-Gun, You Can Take Your Concealed-Carry Right Into Jail

The Bad Lawyer has consistently been anti-gun and anti-expansion of gun rights particularly highlighting the idiocy of the Tennessee legislature's efforts to expand the "concealed-carry" rights to restaurants and bars.  But this story from the Tennessean really caught me by surprise, the Nashville police mistakenly processed a criminal suspect into the city jail who was packing a 9 mm handgun in the waistband of his pants.

Good one.

In defense of the police, this was a mistake and the Davidson County sheriff is quoted as saying that even the police are not allowed in the jail with firearms.

Wow.
