Tips

The New Orleans Times-Picayune relates the story of the waiter who developed a surefire way of increasing his tips, uh, not through better service.

No, ma'am,  our waiter, Shaun Castanedo of Sid-Mar's Restaurant was taking your check after you paid it, gratuity and all--and increased the amount before he closed out the electronic transaction with the credit card processing company.

Not a lot of dough involved, but quite a few transactions apparently fueled by a drug habit.  When Shaun was turned in by the restaurant's owner he was in possession of paraphenalia for shooting up.

So here's your Bad Lawyer PSA, keep those little receipts and double check your bank account or credit card statement.
