Mom, Get Off My Case, No Seriously!

An Arkadelphia, Arkansas mom has been slapped with a criminal harassment charge for posting on her 16 year old's Facebook page, according to local television station katv.  An excerpt from their report follows:

"Denise New's 16 year old son filed charges against her last month and requested a no contact order after he claims she posted slanderous entries about him on the social networking site. New says she was just trying to monitor what he was posting.

Prosecutor Todd Turner won't comment on the specifics because of the son's age, but he did cite Arkansas' harassment law:

A person commits the offense if with purpose to harass, annoy or alarm another person without good cause, he engages in conduct or repeatedly commits acts that alarm or seriously annoy another person."

Apparently Mom, was posting uncool comments on her son's page, critiquing among other things his reported dangerous driving habits and so forth. . . and this gives a basis for an Arkansas prosecutor to charge Mom?  How?

I'm guessing, that we aren't getting quite the full story--the story does hint that more might be going on since Mrs. New's son resides with his Grandmother and not her.
